LOS ANGELES Cheap Nike Air Max Womens , July 29 (Xinhua) -- Los Angeles Lakers officially introduced Byron Scott as the new coach of the team Tuesday.


Scott has a four-year deal for 17 million U.S. dollars, with a team option for the fourth year. The 53-year-old Scott has played with Lakers for 11 seasons, including as the starting shooting guard on three NBA championship teams in the 1980s.


"We know we have some work ahead of us, but I'm excited," Scott said at a news conference at the Toyota Sports Center. "I mean, just thrilled to death. I'm eager. Just ready to get to work. I know it's going to be a challenge, but I look forward to it. You know, I love challenges anyway, so this is going to be fun."


Scott's former teammates Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Jamaal Wilkes were among those who attended the conference. He said the lessons he learned from them as teammates will carry over into his coaching.


Mitch Kupchak, the team's general manager said Monday that Scott "has proven himself at the highest levels of the game as both a player and a coach in his almost 30 years of NBA experience."


"His leadership skills and track record for success make him the ideal person to lead this franchise forward."


Scott succeeds Mike D'Antoni, who resigned in April after the team posted a 27-55 record in the 2013-14 season, its worst since moving to Los Angeles in 1960.


Scott becomes the Lakers' 25th coach and 21st since their move to Los Angeles. He is the seventh former Laker player to become the team's coach.


COPENHAGEN, Oct. 6 (Xinhua) -- The Oresund Bridge that links Denmark with Sweden was closed on Monday morning due to a traffic accident, authorities said.


The bridge between Copenhagen and Sweden's coastal city of Malmo across the Oresund Strait was closed at 11:07 a.m. (1007 GMT) on both directions, according to a statement on the bridge's website.


Jens Genders, a press officer with the bridge infrastructure management, told Xinhua that there was a car accident in the tunnel from Denmark to Sweden.


The bridge is expected to reopen at around 1:00 p.m. (1200 GMT), he said.


The Danish news agency Ritzau cited local police as saying that there were no serious injuries in the accident.


Completed in 1999 and put into operation in July 2000, the Oresund Bridge is a double-track railway and dual carriageway bridge.


As the longest combined road and rail bridge in Europe, it runs nearly 8 km from the Swedish coast to the artificial island of Peberholm, which lies in the middle of the strait. A 4-km underwater tunnel, the Drogden Tunnel, links the bridge with the other end in Copenhagen's island of Amager.
