The casket bearing the remains of Roger Gower was seen taken to the Kilimanjaro International Airport from the Mount Meru Regional Hospital, and later in the evening flown to the UK through Qatar Airways.


Nora Christopher, an official of a funeral service company assigned to handle the pilot's remains said that Gower's body was expected to board Qatar Airways at 17:40 local time for Heathrow Airport.


""We are here to ferry his Gower's body to KIA where it will be transported to England for burial,"" said the official with the funeral service company.


On Monday, the police force in Simiyu region announced that they had arrested six people in connection to the shooting and killing of the British helicopter pilot.


According to the Regional Police Commander, Gemini Mushy, the arrested had confirmed to have killed the pilot.


The police claimed to have been in pursuit of the killers since the incident happened last week.


Gower was fatally wounded by an AK-47 while taking part in a helicopter operation to catch the poachers in the game reserve next to Serengeti National park.


The brutal death of the pilot has since been met with an uproar with stakeholders in the tourism sector calling for the government's commitment and a more rigorous supportive anti-poaching training programme for park rangers.


Tanzania is fighting a bitter struggle to stop ivory poachers, with a report released last year saying that 60 per cent of the elephant population in Tanzania had been lost since 2009.


A former accountant, Gower is said to be qualified as a pilot in 2004 and moved to Africa around two years later, according to a profile with his former employer Tropic Air Kenya. It also says he helped the British Army on exercises in the country.

Taking Photos of Your Home for Listings


I love reading National Geographic to see the amazing photographs of far off places I will probably never visit. I consistently play the lotto, but one has to be realistic. Regardless, the photographs are works of art and I often find myself wishing I could go to the location in the photograph. This is true even though I had no knowledge of the place until I saw the photograph and probably would have blanched had anyone suggested such a trip. This is the power of a good photograph.


Photographs of properties in marketing materials should inspire the same type of response from homebuyers. Make no mistake about it, your photographs represent the first impression, known a curb appeal, the buyer will have of your property. Given this fact, it is vital that your photographs present the best aspects of your property. Simply walking out to the curb and firing off a couple snapshots is a mistake of the highest order. Don聮t do it!


At this point, you should consider using a professional photographer. They understand issues such as lighting, bordering, spacing and angles. Trust me, they are worth every penny.


Assuming you are going to shoot the pictures yourself, consider the following tips:


1. Lighting is critical. First, make sure there is enough light to detail what you are shooting. On the other hand, try to avoid situations where the entire picture is to bright. Strategic shadows in a corner can add definition and the impression of uniqueness.


2. If you have a view, make sure to take a picture of it. If the view can be seen from inside the home, make sure the photograph shows as much by taking it from the interior. You want the photograph to contain some evidence that the view can be seen from inside.


3. When it comes to the front of your home, don聮t take a flat picture. A flat picture is when you shoot the home dead on. Stand off to one side or the other to give it some definition.


4. On interior shoots, add props to the room such as flowers. Make sure drapes and so on are positioned in an attractive manner. Hide all cords. Really hide all pets!


5. Experiment with angles. Taking pictures of your home is not a task to be done as quickly as possible. Take as many photographs as possible and then pick out the best. This is what professional photographers do.


Taking photographs of your property is hardly a difficult task. That being said, if you put a bit of thought and effort into it, you can make your listing stand out from the others on the market.


Rescuers dug with their bare hands and bodies piled up in Nepal on Sunday after an earthquake devastated the heavily crowded Kathmandu Valley, killing more than 2,200 people, and triggered a deadly avalanche on Mount Everest.


A big aftershock between Kathmandu and Everest unleashed more avalanches in the Himalayas. In the capital, hospital workers stretchered patients out onto the street to treat them as it was too dangerous to keep them indoors.


"Another one, we have an aftershock right now. Oh shit!" said Indian climber Arjun Vajpai over the phone from Makalu base camp near Everest. "Avalanche!" he shouted. Screams and the roar of crashing snow could be heard over the line as he spoke.


The tremor, measured at 6.7, was the most powerful since Saturday's 7.9 quake - itself the strongest since Nepal's worst earthquake disaster of 1934 that killed 8,500 people.


The aftershock rocked buildings in the Indian capital New Delhi and halted the city metro.
