DETROIT - Helio Castroneves has won the pole for the first race of the Detroit Grand Prix doubleheader. The Brazilian heads into Saturday afternoons race coming off a close runner-up finish to Ryan Hunter-Reay in the Indianapolis 500. Castroneves has two victories at Belle Isle, including the first win of his career, in 2000. The Blackhawks enter Fridays matinee with a 3-1-0 record on a six-game swing that began Nov. 20 in Calgary and ends tomorrow evening in Los Angeles. All told, Chicago has won four of five and six of its last eight games. After losing 4-1 in Vancouver on Saturday, the Blackhawks bounced back with Wednesdays 3-2 victory over Colorado. Bryan Bickell broke a tie with 5:17 remaining in the third period and Chicago held on for the victory, which pushed the club over the .500 mark (6-5-0) on the road.
