KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Two games in three weeks have taken their toll on the Denver Broncos and Kansas City Chiefs. Both of the AFC West contenders were already missing several key players due to injuries before the Broncos 35-28 victory on Sunday. Several more players went down during the course of the game, including Denver wide receiver Trindon Holliday and Chiefs left tackle Brandon Albert. Holliday hurt his shoulder in the first half, shortly after Demaryius Thomas went down with a shoulder injury. Thomas eventually returned and finished the game. Albert went down with a sprained left knee later in the game. Chiefs coach Andy Reid said that an X-ray on the knee came back negative, but Albert will have an MRI exam on Monday. "See how he does here over night," Reid said. Chiefs tight end Anthony Fasano sustained a concussion when his head slammed to the turf in the third quarter and did not return. He had caught a touchdown pass earlier in the game. Kansas City safety Kendrick Lewis also left for several plays with a knee injury, though he managed to get treatment during the game and was on the field at the finish. "Im good," he said. "Just a little stinger." Broncos defensive tackle Kevin Vickerson went on injured reserve this week after dislocating his right hip in last weeks loss to New England, while defensive end Derek Wolfe was left behind in Denver after he was hospitalized Friday with seizure-like symptoms. Its unknown when Wolfe will be released from the hospital or when hell be cleared to resume football. The team said he did not suffer a stroke or a full-blown seizure. "The Derek Wolfe story, I think our team released enough information that Im not going to spend a lot of time talking about it, but I will tell you that we got good news," Broncos interim coach Jack Del Rio said. "All the tests theyve conducted and put him through, looks like hes going to be OK. At the end of the day, he is going to be all right and were happy to hear about that." Denver cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie did not play after jamming his right shoulder last week against New England. For a while it appeared as if hed be OK to play, even though he was limited in practice on Thursday and Friday and was listed as questionable for the game. Tight end Julius Thomas, who led the Broncos with 10 touchdown catches, also was inactive after dealing with a knee injury. He was limited in practice all week and also was questionable. The Broncos did have Knowshon Moreno, who needed a walking boot because of an ankle injury early in the week, and cornerback Champ Bailey, who had missed all but six quarters this season due to a lingering foot injury. Both of them were in the starting lineup. "Were banged up but we have some depth. It shows," said Bailey, who also left for a moment in the first quarter when he got the wind knocked out of him. "Its tough, but weve got some good players in this locker room and theyve stepped up." The Chiefs were missing top pass rusher Justin Houston, who dislocated his right elbow in last weeks loss to San Diego. Swelling prevented him from having an MRI exam until Wednesday, and team trainer Rick Burkholder said Houston is considered "week to week." Fellow linebacker Tamba Hali was active despite dealing with a sprained right ankle. Right guard Jon Asamoah and Fisher, who missed last weeks game with shoulder injuries, were active. But both of them began the game on the bench with Geoff Schwartz starting at guard and Donald Stephenson getting the starting nod at tackle. Fisher wound up getting into the game when Albert left with his injury. "Listen, I thought they did OK," Reid said. "Fish struggled a little bit early in the week and he was getting better as the week went on. Donald handled the majority of the snaps in practice. By the time we got to game time, we felt Fish was ready to go. He had to play and I thought he did a decent job." Simon Mignolet Belgium Jersey .Mack, a reserve guard who came in averaging 3.8 points, made all six of his 3-pointers as the Hawks went 16 for 28 from behind the arc.Trailing 50-38 midway through the second quarter, Atlanta outscored Cleveland 89-48 the rest of the way and sent the Cavaliers to their largest loss of the season. Linemates Ryan Johansen and Boone Jenner each had a goal and an assist in the first period, and Sergei Bobrovsky made 36 saves to lead the Blue Jackets past the Florida Panthers 4-1 on Saturday night. Eden Hazard Belgium Jersey . Rangers goalie Henrik Lundqvist stood tall with 41 saves between the pipes, but it was defenceman Ryan McDonagh who got the first star of the game as he had a goal and an assist and now has two goals and four assists for six points in two games.DENVER -- Clayton Kershaw turned in a clunker, a rare bad outing for one of baseballs best pitchers. After the game, Los Angeles Dodgers manager Don Mattingly was asked a question he hardly ever hears: Whats wrong with Kershaw? "Who got the win today?" Mattingly teased. Kershaw, of course, even if he didnt have his electric stuff. The lefty surrendered a career-high 11 hits in five shaky innings and Yasiel Puig scored the go-ahead run before leaving with a strained right knee as the surging Dodgers beat the Colorado Rockies 10-8 on Monday. It was hardly vintage Kershaw (14-8), who struggled with his fastball command. He vowed to quickly repress this performance, not take a single thing from it. "Theres nothing to gain from pitching bad like this," said Kershaw, who gave up five runs as his ERA jumped from a league-leading 1.72 to 1.89. "Im just going to chalk this up to a bad start and enjoy getting a win I probably didnt deserve." Puig certainly had an interesting day. He was called out for interference on the bases in the first inning, hit by a pitch in the fourth and then aggravated his knee on an awkward slide into third base in the sixth. He gingerly jogged home from third on Hanley Ramirezs sacrifice fly, before being replaced in right field. Mattingly will sit Puig on Tuesday, but was planning to do so anyway. Puig said through a translator the knee has been giving him trouble for a little while now and just acted up. "Going to get treatment see how it feels," Puig said. Andre Ethier had three hits, including a two-run homer, to lift the Dodgers to their fifth straight victory. Theyre now 35-8 since the All-Star break. Jeff Manship (0-5) took the loss as he gave up three runs -- two earned -- in relief of starter Chad Bettis. The Dodgers bullpen struggled late, with Ronald Belisario allowing two runs in the eighth to cut the lead to 8-7. But he got Michael Cuddyer to hit into an inning-ending double play with the tying runner on third. Los Angeles added two insurance runs in the ninth on a run-scoring single from Juan Uribe and an RBI double from Carll Crawford.dddddddddddd That came in handy as Kenley Jansen endured a rocky ninth, giving up a solo homer to Wilin Rosario, before picking up his 25th save in 28 chances. Kershaw had a forgettable first inning, giving up an uncharacteristic three runs. After that, he quickly settled into a groove, even helping himself out at the plate with a tiebreaking two-run single in the fifth. But the lead didnt last, with Nolan Arenado hitting an RBI double in the bottom half of the inning and later scoring Jordan Pachecos single. Kershaw came into game with opposing teams hitting just .186 off of him. The Rockies, using a makeshift lineup that didnt include Troy Tulowitzki or Todd Helton, pounded him for 11 hits. "Just be aggressive with him," Arenado said of his teams approach at the plate. "His stuff is really good. You try not to get behind in the count and we got to him pretty good." Sure did. "I didnt pitch great. They got a ton of hits. Just one of those days," said Kershaw, who was 2 for 2 with a sacrifice at the plate. "They beat me up pretty good. The team picked me up. Got a bunch of runs today. Feels good." And well-warranted, in Mattinglys opinion. "He deserved one of these as good as hes pitched," Mattingly said. "Obviously, theres nothing wrong with Clayton Kershaw." NOTES: Newly acquired Dodgers INF Michael Young could make his first start Tuesday at third base. He struck out Monday when he was called on to pinch-hit in the ninth. Young was acquired over the weekend from the Philadelphia Phillies for a minor league pitcher. ... The Dodgers plan to keep OF Matt Kemp (ankle) on a rehab assignment until he feels comfortable. "Wed all like to have him back as soon as possible," Mattingly said. ... Mattingly said RHP Edinson Volquez will start Wednesdays game against Colorado. ... Helton got the afternoon off a day after collecting his 2,500th hit, while Tulowitzki (sore legs) and Dexter Fowler (knee) also were out. ... Rockies OF Carlos Gonzalez (sprained right middle finger) could soon come off the disabled list. ' ' '
