Wimbledon, England (Sports Network) - Andy Murray and David Ferrer were winners Friday at Wimbledon. The second-seeded Murray topped 32nd-seeded Spaniard Tommy Robredo, 6-2, 6-4, 7-5, under the closed roof on Centre Court to advance to the fourth round. Murray extended his winning streak on grass to 14 matches. The 26-year-old was last years Wimbledon runner-up to Roger Federer and then beat the Swiss great in last years Olympic gold-medal match at the All England Club. Federer, of course, was stunned in the second round on Wednesday. The player who authored the upset, Ukrainian Sergiy Stakhovsky, wound up not sticking around much longer. Stakhovsky, ranked 116th in the world, lost 6-2, 2-6, 7-5, 6-3 to Austrian Jurgen Melzer. Pole Jerzy Janowicz, the 24th seed, advanced to the round of 16 at a Grand Slam for the first time after posting a 7-6 (8-6), 6-3, 6-4 win over 15th- seeded Spaniard Nicolas Almagro. The second round was completed Friday, with Ferrer highlighting the winners.
