BAQUBA Cheap Nike Air Max Plus Canada , Iraq, Sept. 16 (Xinhua) -- Two people were killed in a suicide bomb attack in Iraq's eastern province of Diyala on Saturday, a provincial police source said.
A suicide bomber detonated his explosive belt near a shop in Jihad district in the city of Maqdadiyah, some 100 km northeast of Baghdad, during a heavy shootout, when another bomber opened fire before fleeing to a nearby alley in the district, the source told Xinhua on condition of anonymity.
The attacks left a police officer and a civilian killed, and seven people wounded, three of them in critical condition, the source said.
Meanwhile, five mortar rounds landed in the district without causing casualties, the source added.
The city authorities imposed curfew after the attacks, while security forces launched a search for the second suicide bomber, the source said.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attacks, but Islamic State (IS) militants, in most previous cases, carried out such suicide attacks targeting security forces and crowded areas, including markets, cafes and mosques across Iraq.
IS militants still controls the Himreen mountainous area, including its lake, in northern and eastern parts of Diyala.
The group also has a major redoubt in Mteibijah area on the provincial border with Salahudin Province, which extends to the sprawling rugged area from the western part of Salahudin to the desert in the neighboring Anbar Province in western Iraq.

ARUSHA, Tanzania, Sept. 15 (Xinhua) -- Tanzania'ssemi-autonomous Zanzibar archipelago has begun enforcing theTobacco Control Regulations, which bans smoking in public places, asenior official said on Friday.
Jamala Taib, Director General of Zanzibar's Ministry of Healthand Social Welfare, said that the decision to enforce theanti-smoking regulations came after realizing that there is a riseof health problems linked to tobacco use such as cancer, heartdisease and high blood pressure in the archipelago.
He said: "These new tobacco control regulations provide clearrestrictions to tobacco use in public places, tobaccoadvertisement, promotion, sponsorship packaging and labeling oftobacco products."
"Zanzibar is not producing tobacco and has no cigarettes makingfactories but there are many people who are being affected bysmokes generated by cigarette smokers," Taib said in aninterview.
The official added that research has shown that largepercentages of people in the Indian Ocean islands who are affectedby the reckless cigarette smoking.
According to Taib, 15 percent of deaths of nonsmokers inZanzibar are caused by those who smoke in public places.
Among other innovative tobacco control measures in Zanzibarinclude increasing taxes on tobacco products as well as reachingout to youth.
He cited police, other security and the general public as keypartners in enforcing smoke free regulations, which requirescigarettes smokers to stay far away from the public for thehealthier benefits of non-smokers.
Smokers must be some meters away from public spaces, such asschools, hospitals, bus stations, and even in vehicles. All theseare considered public places, according to the official.
Tobacco control legislation provides the authority to regulatethe manufacture, distribution, and marketing of tobacco products,and ultimately control the tobacco epidemic in Zanzibar, asemi-autonomous archipelago off the coast of Tanzania consisting ofZanzibar Island, Pemba Island and many smaller islands.

WINDHOEK, May 7 (Xinhua) -- Namibia is sending its U-20 soccer team to Germany this month for friendly matches as part of the COSAFA Youth Games preparations.
The youth games are expected to be held in Zambia at a date yet to be announced this year.
The U-20 squad scheduled to be in Germany from May 10-23 will be based in the Westphalia region.
Namibia's football association has an agreement with Westphalia Football Federation that has so far seen the southern African country's coaches and U-17 squad undergoing training in Germany.
This latest tour comes as German and Namibia celebrate the annual football games' 10th anniversary.
The U-20 team coach, Upi Turipamwe, said Tuesday that he initially had a 40-man squad in camp for two weeks preparing for the German tour.
According to Turipamwe, the squad has since been trimmed down to 20 and will be reduced to 18 when they finally leave Namibia.

WASHINGTON, Feb. 6 (Xinhua) -- Volcanoes hidden under the oceans may have a greater influence on our planet's long-term climate than previously thought, a U.S. study said Friday.
The study published in the U.S. journal Geophysical Research Letters found that submarine volcanoes flare up on strikingly regular cycles, ranging from two weeks to 100,000 years and that they erupt almost exclusively during the first six months of each year.
