CHENGDU Nike Air Max 270 Sale , Aug. 23 (Xinhua) -- U.S.-born panda Bao Bao celebrated her fourth birthday in southwest China's Sichuan Province Wednesday.

Staff with the Dujiangyan base of the China Conservation and Research Center for Giant Panda prepared a 50-kilogram birthday cake made from bamboo, carrots, steamed buns and apples.

Bao Bao (Treasure) was born on Aug. 23, 2013 at the Smithsonian's National Zoo in Washington D.C., the second panda born there.

Her parents Mei Xiang and Tian Tian moved to the American zoo in 2000 under a cooperation agreement between China and the United States. According to the agreement, panda cubs born in the United States to parents on loan from China must be returned to China so that they can enter breeding programs.

Bao Bao arrived in Chengdu on Feb. 22 this year before being quarantined for a month.

More than 100 tourists and staff gathered for Bao Bao's birthday party. American tourist Charlin, who watched the live transmission of Bao Bao's birth four years ago, traveled to Sichuan from Virginia to attend the party.

"I hope she is healthy and happy here," she said.

Bao Bao's carer Zou Wenyong said that when Bao Bao first returned to China, she was still living on American time and was excited late at night and early morning.

"She liked biscuits from the United States and was insensitive to my instructions when she returned. After six months of training, she is accustomed to life here," Zou said.

"At the beginning, Bao Bao wouldn't eat steamed buns, so I had to cut the buns into thin slices and dip them into honey, a lot of honey. I had to get her used to the Chinese diet," he said. "Then I started to cut the buns into bigger chunks and reduce the amount of honey. Now she can eat 1,200 grams a day."

The panda has put on eight kilograms since her return.

So far, the panda breeding center has similar collaborations with 13 zoos in 11 countries, including Japan, the United States, Malaysia, Thailand, Netherlands, Republic of Korea, Singapore, Britain, Belgium, Austria and Australia. Eleven pandas born overseas have returned to the center in China.

HO CHI MINH CITY, Oct. 3 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam's exports to China in the first nine months of this year increased 16 percent, higher than 7 percent of last year's corresponding period, according to the Vietnamese government's latest report.

Local Saigon Economic Times online reported Friday, quoting figures from the government report as saying that exports to China accounted for 10.2 percent of the country's total exports during the nine-month period.

On the average, each month Vietnam earned 1.22 billion U.S. dollars from exports to China so far this year.

Meanwhile, imports from China also increased over 16 percent and that accounted for 28.7 percent of the country's total imports. The average monthly import value was 3.38 billion U.S. dollars.

Vietnam pocketed 109.6 billion U.S. dollars from the exports in the nine-month period, up 14.1 percent year on year, while it spent 107.2 billion U.S. dollars for the imports, up 11.1 percent, according to the General Statistics Office.

JENIN, West Bank, July 10 (Xinhua) -- Palestinian Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah and Israeli Energy Minister Yuval Steinitz launched Monday the first power plant in the West Bank that transforms high to medium voltage, in Jenin, north of the West Bank.

The official ceremony, attended by senior Palestinian and Israeli officials, included signing a commercial agreement between Israeli Electric Corporation and the Palestinian National Authority (PNA) to increase power supply for the coming year through operating a new substation in the north of West Bank.

According to the agreement, the PNA will pay around 47 million U.S. dollars to the Israeli Electric Corporation annually, in order to increase the supply of the new power plant by 60 Megawatts (MW) in full operation.

Hamdallah hoped that this agreement would pave the way "for a comprehensive agreement to transfer the entire electricity sector to the Palestinian side."

He also called on Israel to "cooperate in order to build electricity lines and generation plants in order to continue development of natural resources in the area and benefit from its returns."

The Palestinian energy authority said that there are three other plants in the West Bank under construction and pending signing agreements with Israel to empower Palestine with control over the electricity supply in the West Bank.

Steinitz said that the agreement is bound by payment mechanism, and that "the project is a continuation of civil coordination with the Palestinian authorities, understanding that this is in the interest of Israel."

Palestinians in the West Bank suffer from a deficit in electric supply, especially during summer months, due to the fact that they cannot make use of natural resources in areas under full Israeli control, which comprise 62 percent of the West Bank, according to the Oslo Accords signed between Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) and Israel in 1993.

In September 2016, the PNA minister of finance and Israeli Coordinator of Government Activities in the Palestinian Territories, signed an agreement to regulate payment of Palestinian debts to the Israeli electricity company, which allowed the signing of this agreement.
