He had been with the Raiders since 2012 Cleveland Browns T-Shirts , when he went west to Oakland with McKenzie after the pair worked together with the Green Bay Packers. With Oakland, Herock helped to manage the team’s draft preparations and evaluated college prospects. Herock spent 19 years in the scouting department for the Packers, the final 11 of which he held the position of assistant director of college scouting. He is the latest friendly face that general manager John Dorsey has added to the front office, joining Alonzo Highsmith and Eliot Wolf, both former members of Green Bay’s front office.No word on whether or not Herock share’s Highsmith’s soft spot for players from the University of Miami.
